Goodbye Timberland, Make Way For Chopard

Timberlandchopard

When Timberland opened their Madison Avenue store sometime in the 80's it seemed like a good location for an upscale but attainable brand, but as the years wore on, Madison became ever more luxurious, and Timberland broadened their distribution dramatically. Now it seems like they belong anywhere but Madison Avenue, and so they are moving. Their prime corner location at No. 709 will be taken by Swiss jeweler and watchmaker Chopard, who will be moving their store half a block downtown to a more spacious showplace. Before moving in, however, the 3,000 square feet will be renovated by renowned designer Thierry W. Despont, updating the environment for all those beautiful watches.
